President Goodluck Jonathan has been declared winner of the March 28 presidential election in Abia State.
Jonathan won in all the 17 local government areas in the state by a wide margin.
Announcing the result, the Returning Officer for Abia State, Prof. Benjamin Ozumba, made the announcement at the INEC secretariat in Umuahia on Monday.
The president polled a total vote of 368, 303 to defeat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari, who came a distant second with 13, 394 .
Details of the result indicate that the total number of votes cast stood at 401, 043, while the total number of valid votes was put at 391, 039.
The number of void votes stood at 10,004
