All Catholics in the world will go to hell because they worship Satan and are led by an Anti-Christ Pope who is a friend to the devil, Nigeria’s controversial preacher and former presidential candidate, Chris Okotie, told his congregation on Sunday, leaving members bewildered.

Fifty-five year old Okotie, while preaching in his Household of God Church in Ikeja area of Lagos, western Nigeria, said the Catholic church is “a counterfeit church set up by Satan” and that Catholics “bow to idols and crucify Jesus every Sunday when they eat bread claiming they are eating Jesus’ body.”

“They are not Christians and have never been,” Okotie told a stunned congregation.

“They don’t know Jesus. They believe that when they eat bread on Sundays, they are eating the body of Jesus. It’s ritual,” Okotie said.

He said Pope Francis is an Anti-Christ who does the job of the devil and that time is fast approaching when the Catholic church will pledge allegiance to Satan.

“The pope is an Anti-Christ and the Catholic church will soon declare for Satan. This is the end of times,” Okotie erupted.

He advised members of his church to come to the rescue of Catholics and evangelise them.

This, he said, was not out of disrespect but out of respect for the word of God.

He said those who know the truth should bring it to those who do not know it in the Catholic Church.

Okotie said one of the Catholic most revered Popes, Pope John Paul 11, surrendered the Catholic Church to Mary, the earthly mother of Jesus Christ, instead of Jesus himself. He said even the current Pope Francis has also done same.

He said Catholics are not Christians and do not worship the same Christ that he preaches in his church, at least the one spoken about in the Bible.

Okotie said he did not write the Bible but it was clear to him that those in the Catholic church were lost and were heading to hell fire.

“They don’t believe in heaven. They believe in purgatory, the purgatory that they invented,” Okotie said.

“That church, the Catholic church has been there for Satan and at the right time, they will declare for Satan,”Okotie said.

Okotie who has been married twice and divorced also twice said a beauty pageant will take place in his church next Sunday to select the most beautiful woman in his church.

He also said his yearly “Grace programme” where he makes donations to charity organisations will also take place next Sunday.

The once rock star turned celebrity preacher and politician has been controversial for years.

He once said it was the devil who told him for the first time that he was going to be a preacher.

He also said Nigeria’s famous preacher Prophet T.B. Joshua is the son of the devil and his followers will go straight to hell.

In recent years, he has been saying that God has anointed him to be Nigeria’s president. That prophecy has not come to pass in two presidential elections that he participated in.

T.B. Joshua Sees Death Of A Politician After Election - jonajonat

The general overseer of the Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN), Prophet T.B. Joshua, has revealed some things that will happen soon following the elections in Nigeria.

Speaking to his congregation on Sunday, March 29, 2015, the prophet said, he is seeing the death of a prominent politician due to ‘heated up’ politics in the wake of the closely fought Nigerian elections.

“I am seeing Nigerians heating up politics.

“They will heat up politics and a great man among the politicians will likely lose his life… I am seeing this kind of thing happening in the night.

“Wednesday and Thursday of this coming week and next week, make sure you fast and pray.”

Joshua stated this just before the close of his church service at 7pm in a message broadcast live via Christian television station Emmanuel TV.

He urged members of his congregation to remain prayerful on those specified days so as to save souls.

Earlier in the service, the cleric reminded congregants of a prophetic message he had shared last year concerning a ‘dark cloud’ hovering over Nigeria. He said God is beginning to remove the cloud.

“Whoever wins the race, let us put Nigeria first, the nation first.

“The dark cloud I saw last year was two declarations but I can see the finger of God. Thank you for your prayers.”

He urged his congregants to avoid violence, and not allow themselves be used by politicians to cause bloodshed, while adding that do or die is not politics.

The man of God said: “There is a difference between your faith and politics.

“Don’t play politics as if it is your faith. ‘Do or die’ is not politics. Politics is a game. When you lose, you say, ‘Thank You, Jesus’; when you win, you say, ‘Thank You, Jesus’.

“Your future and the future of this nation – Jesus will ask you to give account. What we are doing now is for generations yet unborn. Don’t trade this future for money, thuggery or corruption.”

T.B. Joshua also predicted that an international terrorist will be captured.

“A criminal they have been looking for, for many years, who has been terrorising the world – I am seeing him being caught and displayed to the world on international media,” he announced.

Before the elections, the cleric had warned Nigerians to be aware of fake political party people, saying he foresees a plane crash.

Pastor T.B. Joshua is famous both in Nigeria and abroad for his religious activities. He performs miracles and conducts deliverance. The cleric also makes predictions about events that will take place on the national and international stage.

President Goodluck Jonathan has been declared winner of the March 28 presidential election in Abia State.

Jonathan won in all the 17 local government areas in the state by a wide margin.

Announcing the result, the Returning Officer for Abia State, Prof. Benjamin Ozumba, made the announcement at the INEC secretariat in Umuahia on Monday.

The president polled a total vote of 368, 303 to defeat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari, who came a distant second with 13, 394 .

Details of the result indicate that the total number of votes cast stood at 401, 043, while the total number of valid votes was put at 391, 039.

The number of void votes stood at 10,004

A Man Has Been Shot Dead As Violence Hits INEC Office In Bauchi - Graphic Photos - Politics - jonathmania

A man was allegedly shot dead by a soldier today at Bauchi's INEC Office as the military was trying to gain access into the office.

Residents of the state had blocked the military from entering the office as results were being collated and this sparked the violence.

According to report, the residents had held a vigil outside the INEC office to await the announcement of last Saturday's election when the military showed up. Some others were injured while another man hit by a stray bullet. photos below:

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned against any attempt to tamper with the results of the elections that were concluded
nationwide on Saturday, saying Nigerians have voted peacefully and massively and they know who they have voted for.

In a statement issued on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said it has the authentic
results from every polling unit where voting took place on Saturday, and will not accept anything contrary to those signed results.

It decried the dangerous kite now being flown by the PDP, through some of their paid media channels, seeking to appropriate unearned victories across the nation.

''We have always said we will accept the result of any free, fair and transparent elections. We stand by that avowal. However, what we will not accept - and which we are sure Nigerians themselves will reject - is any move to rewrite the results and thwart the will of the people under any guise. We will not accept that.

''We have heard of the desperate moves to cancel the results in areas where the APC has beaten the PDP embarrassingly. Nigerians will definitely not accept that,'' APC said.

The party said it is aware of the ongoing efforts to force Electoral Officers and Presiding Officers in Imo State, some of whom are being
picked up by the military as we write, to rewrite the results of the elections in the state.

''We have the results from every polling unit in Imo State and we know that we have won in over 80 per cent in the presidential election. So there must be no shenanigans,'' it warned.

APC also said the same attempts are being made in Sokoto, Enugu, Ekiti, Ondo, Lagos and other states, wondering why anyone will be seeking to reverse the results that are already settled.

''In the Nsukka Local Government Area, INEC officials, instead of collating results, handed over the exercise to PDP Nsukka zone to
write. They holed up inside ADADA House (a Local Government guest house) to write results and change figures, and were provided with security by the police. APC candidates and agents were chased away. In collaboration with INEC, they refused to let the card readers function and no result sheets came to most polling booths.

The party said result of the Apapa Local Government in Lagos is yet to be announced the which has been ready since yesterday, apparently in a move to manipulate its outcome, warning that voters will not agree with any attempt to steal their votes.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh in a statement on Sunday said the figures were “fake and do not represented the true results which are currently being collated by INEC, the only body authorized to release and announce results”.

“The APC in its desperation for power has resorted to posting fake results in the social media in a bid to ambush the electoral commission, mislead the unsuspecting public to believe it is winning, all in furtherance of its grand plot to cause confusion and set the stage for violence when the authentic results are finally released.

“We therefore alert Nigerians to be on their guard and close ranks in resisting the APC’s plot to plunge the nation into chaos and anarchy. Our democracy has come to stay and the will of the people must prevail over and above the parochial ambition of a selfish few.

“Finally, we strongly caution the APC against its acts of desperation and use of dishonest methods including physical attacks against our members and supporters as these pose great threat to our democracy, the unity and stability of our dear nation.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari has said that the level of hiccups witnessed during Saturday's presidential election will not be enough to seek for annulment of the polls.

Buhari's assessment of the polls came just as the APC expressed satisfaction with the use of the card reader for voting accreditation, describing it as successful despite some delays.

In its reaction to Saturday's election, the party's National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed said from the reports it has received from its field agents, "it is clear that that the card reader, as a tool to enhance the credibility of elections in the country, has so far proved effective, despite the delays.

''The card reader is a novel tool in our elections and naturally there will be some initial hiccups. We understand that the delays were due to the failure to remove the protective films on the lenses of many card readers, the poor network of some of the sim cards in the card readers and the effect of jamming devices on the card readers," it said.

APC warned against the resort to manual accreditation in some parts of the country, where the card readers are being bypassed, saying it is against the electoral guidelines.

However, while addressing Journalists at his country home in Daura after casting his vote Buhari said though there was some incidents in about five states, it is not enough to necessitate total annulment of the election.

Buhari who came back to the polling unit to cast his vote at about 4.56pm, amidst hundreds of jubilant supporters, said he was impressed by the integrity of the system.

"I also base it on the performance of INEC. If I could recall, I even referred to the submission by the INEC chairman of their activities from the end of the last General election in 2011 till how. I said the document was very good and even INEC said they were ready to conduct this election".

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the poor working of the Permanent Voter Card readers in Saturday's Presidential and National Assembly elections across the country could have been avoided if INEC had listened to sound advice from well meaning individuals and organizations including the PDP regarding their deployment without proper testing.

National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Olisa Metuh, said in a statement on Saturday said the last minute resort to manual accreditation by INEC hours into the exercise against its earlier guidelines clearly shows the failure of the system.

"The unfortunate development is a vindication of our earlier position that as good as the idea of card readers is, it was too virgin to be successfully used in a general election without proper testing especially in an environment as ours that is not entirely digitally proficient”, it said.

The party described as a huge national embarrassment the that the card reader had problems in accrediting President Goodluck Jonathan, Governors Jonah Jang, of Plateau, James Ngilari of Adamawa, Isa Yuguda of Buachi among others and called for thorough explanation from INEC.

The PDP equally frowned at reported cases of accreditation of under-aged persons in some states especially in the northern part of the country and called on INEC not only to ensure that such unqualified persons are not allowed to vote but also to prosecute its officials involved in the crime.

The ruling party said it is seriously concerned about the developments given the avowed commitment of the President Goodluck Jonathan-led PDP administration to hitch-free, fair and credible electoral process.

8 killed in Gombe . . . 6:25 PM

No fewer than seven persons were reported to have been killed this Saturday morning when suspected fleeing members of Boko Haram invaded Shole village in Nafada Local Government Area of Gombe State.

Shole is at the border with Yobe State and our correspondent gathered that the villagers all ran out of the village just before the commencement of the general election.

THISDAY checks also revealed that several cars and houses were burnt and that the suspected insurgents invaded the village on motorbikes and Hilux vehicles.

The insurgents were said to have moved to Biri in the same Nafada LGA where they killed one Policeman and ran away with some card readers and some election materials.

They were said to have moved to Dukku where they disrupted election processes as they shot sporadically.

No casualties have been reported yet from Dukku but an aspirant to the Gombe State House of Assembly Usman Mohammad Jafun told our correspondent on phone that the attackers were dressed in military uniforms.

It was also gathered from the Dukku attack that following some resistance from the people in Dukku, one of the attackers was killed while three persons from Dukku sustained injuries.

When contacted over the incident, the Gombe Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Fwaje Atajiri said he was not aware of it but promised to get back to our correspondent after he is through with an urgent meeting he was attending.

However, the election process was reported to have commenced on time in some polling units visited by our correspondent in Gombe, the Gombe State capital as at the time of filing this report. A large turnout was also observed.

A feature observed from most of the polling units is that many youths were stationed at the gates of most of the schools with iron detectors ensuring that people don't get into the polling units with dangerous weapons.

Speaker of the House of Representatives and the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, Saturday said it was only by the grace of God that Nigerians were able to witness another election despite all the efforts to prevent it from holding.

Speaking, shortly after he was screened at the Kofar Ajiya polling unit, Tambuwal described the election as historic and critical in the history of this country.

"Today is very special and critical in the history of Nigeria and for us to witness it is only by the grace of God because effort had been made to stop it from holding," he said.

He commended the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega, for insisting that the elections must hold as scheduled in spite of all odds.

He also advised the media against broadcasting or revealing unofficial result, saying it may create a lot of tension in the country.

Oyegun, APC National Chairman Loses Ward To PDP In Edo - Punch - Politics - jonathmania

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Odigie-Oyegun, lost his ward to the People’s Democratic Party in Saturday’s Presidential elections.

Two units made up Ward 2 of the Staff Training School at GRA Benin; the APC lost in both units.
At Unit one, the PDP polled 95 votes in the presidential election while APC polled 78 votes.
The party also polled 94 votes in the Senatorial election while APC polled 85 votes.

In the House of Representatives, the PDP polled 95 votes while the APC polled 80 votes.

At unit two where Oyegun cast his vote, the PDP polled 88 votes in the Presidential election while APC polled 65.

For the House of Rep, PDP polled 79 votes while APC polled 75.

DHQ: Military Captures Arms Caches Abandoned By Fleeing Boko Haram - Politics - jonathmania

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has disclosed that the Nigerian military, in its ongoing mopping up operations in the strategic town of Baga, has uncovered heaps of arms and ammunition abandoned by the defeated and fleeing Boko Haram terrorists.

The Director of Defence Information (DDI), Maj-Gen. Chris Olukolade, confirmed this is a statement on Sunday with pictorial evidence of a stockpile of various weapons abandoned by the insurgents.

According to Olukolade, "Troops engaged in cordon and search in Baga continue to discover more arms of various backgrounds and shapes abandoned in some houses and the surroundings by fleeing terrorists.

"Heaps of weapons most of which were strange-looking or destroyed are still being gathered. Many abandoned or destroyed motorcycles have also been discovered".

Unfortunately, he stated, a soldier was stabbed while another was shot during a close quarter battle which ensued as troops involved in cordon and search caught up with some of the fleeing terrorists on Sunday evening.

As part of the mop-up operation, the Defence spokesman said that a number of individuals who claimed to be residents are also being interrogated in order to ascertain their identity and motive.

He said that a group consisting mostly of women continued to hail and cheer the troops as they conduct a thorough search in the area.

"Wanting to be sure the group was not working for the terrorists despite the excitement, they had to be placed under watch.

"The cordon and search as well as patrol of the localities continue while the offensive on terrorists is progressing in other areas of the theatre of the counter terrorist campaign", he added.

Meanwhile, following the spate of recent successes recorded against the Boko Haram terrorists in the north eastern parts of the country, the Nigerian military have been put on red alert for any insurgents’ leader bearing the name of Imam Abubakar Shekau who is believed to be desperately looking for escape routes.

PRNigeria was informed by a senior military source that troops have been urged to try at all costs to capture Shekau alive so that he would face justice.

Hanks Anuku Gets HIV/AIDS After Allegedly Sleeping With 80 Women - Celebrities - jonathmania

Nollywood Actor, Hank Anuku popularly known as Cobra who rose from zero to hero playing major lead roles in movies both in Nigeria and other African countries have tested positive to HIV.

The born-again actor revealed in an interview that he left Nigeria on April 2011 to Zambia where he took part in various plays on teaching about HIV and AIDS without his wife and two kids for six month enjoying life and sleeping with 80 women.

“Life in Zambia was heaven on earth because we could enjoy life, moving in all places but I was missing my family. During that time I had quite a number of sexual activities and I slept with different women. 
When I came back home I never took care of the family. I started drinking life a fish and became an irresponsible husband leaving the entire burden to my wife,” he said.

The veteran actor also revealed he affected his wife knowing well he could be HIV positive “I got tested while I was in Zambia after one of my girlfriends advised me about her pregnancy.
She had gone for pregnancy tests and during that time she was tested for HIV and the results was shocking, she was positive. She forced me to get tested but I could not come to terms with the results. After I got tested I came back to Zimbabwe and I kept quiet about the issue. I never told my wife about the issue. I infected her but I regret. I later on received some counseling and it well well,” he explained.

“During my peak of popularity I had sex with approximately 80 women, within Harare and Zambia. In 2002 it was so amazing to be on TV. I abused the fame. To make matters worse I lacked counseling and I failed to handle it properly, leaving me in this mud. I am now a born again Christian with UFIC under the guidance of Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa.” He continued.

Funke Akindele, has threatened to sue Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji.
Ms. Akindele has asked Ms. Ikeji to retract and apologise within 24 hours for a post on Ms. Ikeji’s blog published
on January 25, titled, Did Funke Akindele shade Toyin Aimakhu last night?

In the post, Ms. Ikeji suggested that an Instagram picture on Ms. Akindele’s page was intended as a slight on fellow actress, Ms. Aimakhu, who was recently rumoured to have separated from her husband, Adeniyi Johnson.

According to Ms. Ikeji, the two actresses had previously fallen out and Ms. Aimakhu had “shaded” Ms. Akindele over the latter’s 2014 divorce.

Ms Akindele, through her management, said thanks to Ms. Ikeji’s blog post, she was exposed to “cynical comments and hasty judgements”.

“(The post has portrayed) Funke Akindele’s brand in bad light,” her management said. “It has promoted unhealthy rivalry where there is none.”

Ms. Akindele’s lawyer, in a seven paragraph letter made available to PREMIUM TIMES said the post was “borne out of pure malice for our client who has carved an inch (sic) for herself in the entertainment industry whilst also inciting hatred between our client and Toyin Aimakhu on one hand and our client and her fans on the other hand.”

Ms. Ikeji was subsequently advised to remove the post, offer a retraction and make available a link to Ms. Akindeke’s team.
Ms. Ikeji could not be reached to comment for this story. Calls to the number listed on her website were unanswered.

Jonathan pledges 2 million jobs annually if re-elected - jonathmania

President Goodluck Jonathan has
promised two million jobs yearly if re-elected into office.

Mr. Jonathan spoke Monday in Ibadan,Oyo State, were he met supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ahead of
the February 14 election.

The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, quoted the president as saying he will generate jobs for the teeming unemployed population in Nigeria.
He did not say how that will happen, after largely failing to provide as many jobs in the last six years as president.
Besides corruption and insecurity, the Jonathan administration is persistently criticised over the huge unemployed population in the country.

The government has always pointed to its Small and Medium Scale support programme, You win, which gives grants to only 1,200 people yearly.
The government says the programme has engaged hundreds of thousands, a figure that has been questioned.
The government has also failed to defend its claim that it created 1.6 million jobs in 2013.
At the Ibadan campaign, Mr. Jonathan also lauded South-West leaders for promoting equity, human rights, saying he will continue to respect and work with people from the zone.

The president also said the votes of
Nigerian women will either liberate or sanction them to the kitchen, urging women to vote for PDP.

Yobe state capital, Damaturu is under heavy bombardment from boko haram!!!!.

Damaturu, the Yobe state capital has again come under intense assault by suspected Boko Haram militants, barely a month after a similar attack killed many residents.

Residents and security operatives said the city is currently under heavy gunfire and multiple explosions forcing people to cringe in their homes.

Umar Haruna, a civil servant residing in Damaturu told PREMIUM TIMES that the city and its residents have come under attack again.

He said the attack started at about 8p.m.

“We are under attack; gun shooting everywhere in Damaturu…we dont know what to do now,” he said.

A top security officer of the State Security Service, SSS, who refused to be because he was not authorised to speak, told our correspondent via SMS that “Yes, there is an attack going on here and I believe the soldiers and the police are containing the attacks.”

The attack is the second in the last two months on Damaturu.

The insurgents had launched a heavy attack on the capital on December 1, targeting the government house.

The attack was successfully repelled by the Nigerian security forces.
