Marouane Fellaini; I am playing as a box-to-box midfielder for Man United

Marouane Fellaini has revealed he is being used as a box-to-box midfielder by manager
Louis van Gaal.

Over the summer, it was expected Fellaini would leave the Red Devils as Van Gaal looked to axe the deadwood from his squad. However, the 26-year-old stayed and despite being on the fringes initially, Fellaini has clawed his way back into Van Gaal’s thinking.

Fellaini offers Van Gaal versatility and has been a divisive figure ever since joining Man United from Everton.
The Belgian can play up front, in
the number ten role  or even as a defensive midfielder, meaning some Man United fans wanted him to stay, due to his flexibility.

However, Fellaini has revealed he’s currently being used as a box-to-box midfielder by VanGaal+Fellaini

Fellainisaid : “At the moment the manager is using me as a box-to-box player and I am trying to score a goal.”
Furthermore, against Crystal Palace, the flexibility of Fellaini is proven after he revealed he played in a number of roles in that game: “I
played a little bit more up front as a No8. Then for the last 20 minutes I played at No6 alongside Daley Blind. I can play different
positions.”
